My story

    Meet Chester Woodrow — 50% Dog, 50% Whirlwind, but 100% Adorable Chester Woodrow is an adorable, high-energy boy who’s ready to find a family that can keep up with his zest for life! He came to us from a local shelter after his previous family, sadly, could no longer care for him due to illness. This lively little guy loves walks, playtime, and sticking by your side like a true “Velcro dog.” If you’re looking for a companion who will follow you from room to room and happily curl up in your bed (or right next to it), Chester Woodrow is your guy. He’s fully housetrained, very healthy, and happiest when he’s the center of your attention. He weighs almost 17 pounds, and while his records say he is 9 years old, his foster mom says, “No way!” This little guy has the energy of a youngster. Chester Woodrow thrives on love and activity, making him an excellent match for an active household. While he currently lives with two other dogs in his foster home, he would absolutely shine as the only dog where he can soak up all the attention for himself. Because of his bouncy personality, Chester Woodrow would benefit from professional training and an experienced dog owner who can help guide him through his next chapter. He will need regular grooming to keep his adorable, non-shedding coat looking its best — perfect for allergy-friendly homes. He’s also a bit of a talker, so a single-family home is better than an apartment or condo.
