My story

Okay, so here’s the thing: I’m big. Like, really big. People always assume that means I’m brave, or tough, or ready to charge into anything headfirst. But honestly? I’m kind of a softie. Other dogs? They make me nervous. I don’t know what they’re thinking, and sometimes they get too close, too fast. My heart starts racing and I just want to get out of there. I’m not trying to be mean! I just don’t feel safe. I need space. Quiet. Time. I do take some time to adjust to new people as well. If you sit down and give me a moment, I’ll come closer on my own. And once I do trust you… well, you’re my person. Forever. Now, toys? Oh man, toys are my jam. Balls, squeakers, ropes!! I love them all. You give me a toy, and you’ve basically just won my heart. I’ll toss it around, parade it in front of you, maybe even try to trade you for another. Playtime is my happy place, where the world feels safe and simple. I might be a little unsure of the world sometimes, but with patience, space, and a good toy in my mouth, I start to believe everything’s gonna be okay.
