My story

Meet Nirvana – The Chill Thinker of the Freedom Squad While the rest of his fluffy friends are bouncing around like rockstars on stage, Nirvana prefers the backstage life—catch him outside lounging under the misters, soaking in the morning sun, and just vibing with the world. He’s not as wild as the others from the breeder release—more of an observer, a deep thinker, the kind of dog who seems to be playing chess in his head before making his next move. Personality: Nirvana is around 3 years old, and 27lbs, and is doing really well with his transition into family life. He’s a big fan of cuddles and does the cutest little butt wiggle when he’s happy. Call his name and you’ll get the famous “turn-stop-look” move before he comes running your way. Nirvana is also known for his bromance with his buddy Metallica—they’re like bandmates who don’t need to be together but always sound better when they are. They’re not bonded, but they definitely share some rock-solid vibes. Nirvana especially loves hanging out with the ladies and has an easygoing, happy personality most of the time. That said, he feels more energy than most, and if tested, he won’t hesitate to stand his ground. Training: He’s mostly potty trained, working on crate training (and succeeding), and really starting to learn the ropes of being a pet rather than just a number. He listens pretty well—though let’s be real, we’re pretty sure he does it mostly for the human attention he never got before. Health and wellness: Nirvana is recovering from his neuter very well, the anesthesia was not so good to him the first day so he slept it off. He shows no other signs of major medical. Mealtime is a bit of a mood for him—sometimes he clears the bowl, sometimes he saves a snack for later (who can blame him?). Like the rest of his breeder crew, his tummy is still adjusting, but his poop is getting better every day as his body and mind catch up to this new life. We did start him on a dewormer and it seems to be helping. Overall: Nirvana is a happy, thoughtful boy who’s ready for a family that will give him structure, cuddles, and space to keep growing. He still needs a foster or an adopter (please note—we do not foster-to-adopt). Whoever opens their home to this guy is going to score a lifetime backstage pass to love and loyalty. We feel he will do well with other dogs his size since he came from a pack, a female, or submissive male or just a dog that can understand that he is new to family life. Nirvana is vaccinated, Neutered, and microchipped, he is located in Mesa, AZ. His adoption donation fee is $1100.00, you can apply on our website at freedomfrenchierescue.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nirvana, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
