Meet Teeny!❤️ Teeny is working on potty training & getting better each day with both potty & crate training. She cries a little bit at first when she goes in at night but then stops. Goes in her crate when told "kennel". She walks great on a leash, only pulls to investigate the local wildlife! Temperament with 🐶Dogs: only limited interaction with other dogs but seems great & tested well in the shelter 😻Cats: great 🚸Children: great- ages 5, 7, and 9 Teeny is a, female, lab mix, 2 yrs, 40#. She is bit scared and nervous but slowly gaining more confidence with every day. She shows absolutely no aggression and hasn't displayed any destructive behaviors or separation anxiety, but she is still reserved and still sometimes cowers. Despite this, she's been unbelievably affectionate and cuddly from day one. She came to us very underweight but is eating great and loves treats, which she takes very gently. Even when our cats take her food or water, she's never once growled or barked at them. She doesn't seem to understand what toys are and how they work, but we'll keep trying. Overall, she's just a very laid back and chill girl and I think she'd do great in just about any household. Apply to meet Teeny today at rubywhiskers.org/adopt This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason. If the dog or puppy is not yet fully vetted, we can only consider applications from adopters within an hour's drive or 40 miles of Lemont, IL, due to required vet visits at our partner veterinarians. For fully vetted dogs or puppies, we welcome applications from out-of-state or beyond the 40-mile radius. Breed and Age Information: Unless the puppy was born in our care, we cannot guarantee the breed or age. Breed and age estimates are based on veterinary advice, shelter records, physical appearance, and information provided by previous owners. Adoption Fee: $350 The adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue) Microchip Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine Bordetella vaccine 4DX test (Heart-worm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease) for adults over 1 year HW Test for puppies 8mo -1yr General wellness care, including deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention monthly. Your adoption fee also helps support medical care for other rescue animals, including heartworm treatments, surgeries, and emergency care. Spay/Neuter Policy: We spay/neuter dogs at 16 weeks or older, at the discretion of the rescue and in consultation with our partner veterinarians. While some veterinarians recommend delaying the procedure based on a breed’s projected size, as a rescue, our primary goal is to prevent unwanted litters. Spaying and neutering also provide significant health benefits, including cancer prevention and reducing behavioral issues. The American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association support pediatric spay/neuter for cats and dogs as early as 8–16 weeks. We carefully assess each case to determine the best timing for the procedure. Thank you, RWAR
