Meet Molly! – The Couch Potato With a Zoomie Switch! 🐾🐾 2 yr, female, fully vetted, 41# If we had to sum up Molly in a sentence, it’d be: chill with a side of rambunctious! This lovable Pit mix is the perfect balance of relaxed cuddle buddy and playful goofball. She’s just as happy lounging on the couch as she is sprinting around the yard in a joyful burst of energy. Molly is potty-trained. She’s not a huge fan of getting into her crate, but once she’s in, she settles down for a nice nap. She’s well-mannered when given free roam of the house and especially loves hopping from couch to couch — or better yet, snuggling up in bed with you (if she’s invited!). Keep an eye on those stuffed animals and shoes, though, as she is your typical puppy! She’s a gentle giant who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those who aren’t intimidated by her size and are ready to play. A playful pup friend and a fenced yard would be a dream come true for Molly! She’s also fantastic with people — including kids. In her foster home, she’s been calm, affectionate, and well-behaved even with a house full of 12-year-olds and their friends. Molly hasn’t been tested with cats or other animals yet, but she’s done great meeting both human and canine neighbors. Ideal Home: Molly would thrive in a loving home with kids and a yard to play in, a doggy companion to chase around, and people who want a loyal shadow who follows them from room to room. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy with a goofy side, Molly is your girl. Molly is a great dog looking for love! She knows her name (even if she sometimes pretends not to when she’s busy doing something more fun) and is working on basic commands like sit & stay! Like most puppies, she loves to test boundaries, but she understands and responds with a classic guilty look and head down. She’s doing well on leash walks — though every now and then, she’ll throw on the brakes if she’s unsure or just not feeling it. With consistency, she’ll be an amazing companion who learns quickly and gives even more love in return. Come meet Molly — your new best friend is waiting! 💕 Apply to meet Molly today at rubywhiskers.org/adopt This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason. If the dog or puppy is not yet fully vetted, we can only consider applications from adopters within an hour's drive or 40 miles of Lemont, IL, due to required vet visits at our partner veterinarians. For fully vetted dogs or puppies, we welcome applications from out-of-state or beyond the 40-mile radius. Breed and Age Information: Unless the puppy was born in our care, we cannot guarantee the breed or age. Breed and age estimates are based on veterinary advice, shelter records, physical appearance, and information provided by previous owners. Adoption Fee: $350 The adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue) Microchip Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine Bordetella vaccine 4DX test (Heart-worm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease) for adults over 1 year HW Test for puppies 8mo -1yr General wellness care, including deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention monthly. Your adoption fee also helps support medical care for other rescue animals, including heartworm treatments, surgeries, and emergency care. Spay/Neuter Policy: We spay/neuter dogs at 16 weeks or older, at the discretion of the rescue and in consultation with our partner veterinarians. While some veterinarians recommend delaying the procedure based on a breed’s projected size, as a rescue, our primary goal is to prevent unwanted litters. Spaying and neutering also provide significant health benefits, including cancer prevention and reducing behavioral issues. The American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association support pediatric spay/neuter for cats and dogs as early as 8–16 weeks. We carefully assess each case to determine the best timing for the procedure. Thank you, RWAR
