At just 9 lbs, she’s the perfect lap companion—and she’s not shy about taking you up on the offer. When she first arrived, Ribbons was shy and unsure, hanging back to watch and observe. But within an hour, she decided her foster was safe, and soon after, she transformed into a devoted Velcro dog, following from room to room and checking in often with those soulful eyes. Ribbons came into our rescue pregnant and gave birth in her foster home to 3 beautiful babies! She was an excellent mama, and now it's time for both her and her babies to find their forever homes. Ribbons' favorite pastime is toy collecting— she’ll pick out her favorites and create a little pile on the couch, then settle in nearby to keep watch over her “treasures.” She especially loves chew toys, and when the zoomies strike, she’s quick to grab a plushie for a victory lap around the living room. Ribbons shares her foster home with two small dogs. After a slow intro, she became best friends with the younger one, enjoying daily wrestling matches and games of chase. She coexists peacefully with the older dog, happy to let them do their own thing. She could thrive as an only dog or with a playful, gentle companion. She’s fully crate-trained, finding comfort in her own little den at night or when her humans are out. She’s almost fully housetrained, and hasn’t had an accident in weeks. She’s flexible with her schedule—mshe’ll wake when you wake, whether that’s early morning or a lazy 10 a.m.—and will happily nap until it’s time for the next play session or cuddle break. Ribbons would do best in a home with people who appreciate her mix of independence and affection. She’s blossomed into a confident, joyful little dog, and she’s ready to bring her toy-piling, lap-warming, tail-wagging magic to her forever family. August 14, 2025, 12:01 pm
