My story

My foster writes:Skye is such a smart, loving, affectionate dog. I only intended to foster her but quickly fell in love with her. I wanted to adopt her but I just don't have the lifestyle needed to be home enough. Skye will truly win your heart! So lovable, playful and sweet!My borough breaker writes:On our borough break, we spent some time hanging out in the apartment. As soon as Skye walked in, she explored every room like she owned the place. She warmed up immediately, happily soaking up pets from my friend and even throwing her whole body into us just to get more love.After that, we headed to Central Park. Skye loved being in the grass and was full of energy at first, but by mile two she started to get a little tired. We took a few breaks along the way, and each time she hopped right up onto a bench, happily people-watching and following everyone who walked by with her head.When we got back from the park, Skye crashed right away and took a good nap in the apartment until it was time to walk her back to the shelter.What my friends at ACC say about me:I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.
