Taka

My story

Taka is destined to be someone's soul mate. He is the most gentle foster I've had, especially with kids. He follows you around like a little four-legged shadow, just hoping he'll get an ear scratch or a back rub on the way to where you're going. He's learning that laying on the couch is second only to being on your lap, and he will completely melt into you once he's there. He is kennel trained, but he also lived in a kennel for quite some time. So, he's learning that he does have freedom to explore. He heads straight for his kennel when he's nervous or overwhelmed, and he'll make his way back out to get more loves a few minutes later. He's doing amazing with house-training and leash walking! He knows "sit" and is very treat-motivated (and learning more quickly). He is uninterested in other dogs on leash walks and is non-reactive when in his kennel and they walk by. He lived with his brother previously, and he'll likely do well with other dogs in the home. Taka is such a sweet boy. He's patiently waiting to find his forever family.
