Ember

My story

Ember is a young Pomeranian mix with a quiet charm and a tender heart. She was found as a stray and, despite efforts to locate her previous family, no one came forward to claim her. Because of this, we don’t know much about her past—but what we do know is that Ember is ready for a fresh start and a family to call her own. This sweet girl is still a little unsure of the world. She can be nervous when meeting new people, but with a calm approach and a bit of patience, she quickly begins to let her guard down. Once she feels safe, her affectionate, loyal nature shines through, and she’ll happily show you just how much love she has to give. Ember was recently adopted, but sadly returned. Her former adopter had many wonderful things to say about her—she was doing great with crate training and house training, knew her basic commands, got along well with the other dogs, and did well in the car. She did seem a little too enthusiastic about playing with the cat, so a feline-free home might be best. Unfortunately, there was an incident involving food and their young child, and they no longer felt comfortable keeping her. Ember is an insecure, somewhat skittish pup who thrives best with structure and understanding. Because of this, she would do best in a calm, mature home—one that can give her the consistency, patience, and gentle guidance she needs to fully blossom. She enjoys spending time outside, whether she’s exploring the yard or going for walks. She’s also very observant and a quick learner, which will make her a wonderful candidate for continued training. Ember may have had a rough start, but she hasn’t given up on people—she’s just waiting for the right person to show her she’s finally safe, loved, and home.
