My story

✨ Meet the handsome Thoreo (Thor + Oreo) 🐾 — a sweet boy still searching for his forever home! If you can’t adopt, please share this post to help him find his people ❤️ Location: Lexington, SC Name: Thoreo Age: ~1 year (right at or just under) 🎂 Breed: Great Pyrenees 🐕 – currently 63 lbs (came to us extremely underweight, which likely stunted his growth a bit — we can’t say for sure how much he will or won’t continue to grow). Assumed purebred (double rear dewclaws ✅, GP-standard eye color and coat type) but not 100% confirmed. M/F: M Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies, DHLPP, & Bordetella 💉; Heartworm Negative ❤️; UTD on flea & heartworm prevention; dewormed; freshly neutered. Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: Yes to all 🐶🐱👧 — but still has puppy energy, so extra supervision is best with very small kiddos. Aggression or medical issues?: None 💖 Reason for rehoming?: Owner surrender after discovering her pet sitter was severely neglecting her pups, and she could not take them back into her home. House/crate trained?: Initially tried to mark, but stopped after a couple of days with correction. Now neutered, so this behavior should stop entirely. Fully house trained beyond that. Has never been crated — instead, enjoys outdoor time (true GP style!) when unsupervised. Likely wouldn’t mind a crate, but hasn’t needed one here. Additional info/story (personality): Thoreo is extremely friendly and adores attention. Will sit politely for pets and brushing (especially loves brushing — except for his tail ✂️). LOVES all food… except vegetables 🥦🚫. Walks beautifully on a leash, rarely pulling — and when he does, it’s gentle. Was raised entirely as a pet, so he doesn’t show the typical “working” GP instincts (though that could change as he matures). Loves to play with other dogs and would thrive with a canine friend. 🌟 A secure fenced-in yard is REQUIRED for his safety and happiness — he’s a Pyrenees, and they love to roam! 📩 Message/comment if interested.
