Hello world! My name is OLI and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Spitz Mix Age: approx. 2 years Gender: Male Weight: 14.3 lbs (6.5kg) RESCUE STORY – I was living in an overcrowded shelter in South Korea and I was not doing so great. There are WAY too many doggies needing homes and I kind of got lost in the shuffle inside. It was a very hot summer and there was a bad virus and disease in my shelter so my rescuers pulled me out of there to help find me my precious furever home. They could tell I was such a good boy who just needed a chance! TEMPERAMENT - My rescuer says I have a totally calm personality and I'm very perceptive — I know what's up! I quickly understand when I'm being told "no" and can listen like a good boy. Basically, I'm just a pretty darn perfect pooch, what can I say?! ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate - I am the perfect combination of playful and chill. I love to play with my stuffed toys the best! GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown (I haven't been tested around children) Dogs – Yup! I live with lots of other dogs (see me here), and we get along great! I could definitely live in a home with another doggy friend who matches my temperament. Cats – Unknown (I haven't been tested around cats) PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around new things in Canada like squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Work in Progress (see me rollin here) I tend to want to walk ahead of my handler, but I don't really pull. Just excited to be out and about! Even when my other dog buddies bark nearby, I don't react and continue to walk cool and calm. A well-fitted harness and lots of positive reinforcement will help me learn good leash manners. House trained – Work in Progress. I know I'm supposed to do my business outside in the courtyard at the shelter, however there are so many other doggies here that we don't always get the individual attention we need in order to establish complete house-training. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn propper habits in my new home :) Please Note: WCP will provide 1 complimentary training session with Hannah before the finalization of your adoption. WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live. WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##2492445##
