My story

Marigold is a lovely mixed-breed pup with an estimated birthday of April 17, 2025, and weighs about 21 pounds. This friendly but sometimes shy girl is still learning the ropes of puppy life, making great progress with her house training and doing wonderfully in her crate. She is happiest when she has toys to play with, a yard to run in, and dog friends her own size or smaller to romp with. While Marigold can be a little reserved at first—especially with bigger dogs—she warms up beautifully with time and patience. Once she feels safe, her playful, affectionate side shines through. She loves to kiss the faces of her people and her dog siblings, often inviting them to a game of tag around the yard. She enjoys zoomies, couch-jumping adventures, and showing off her silly puppy energy. Marigold is good with elementary school aged children, cats, and dogs. She’s very treat-motivated, which will help with continued training. A fenced yard is a must for this girl, as she’s not yet comfortable walking on a leash and she loves to run and play freely. Marigold will thrive in an active home that understands she may need time to build trust, but once she does, she’ll be a loyal and joyful companion. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
