My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.Nightlight appreciates attention and petting but appears to be somewhat fearful or stressed in the shelter. She will likely need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.A volunteer writes: Nightlight has approached shelter life like it's cat school and she's here waiting with her bright and shiny back-to-school enthusiasm. Emphatically showing her love for everyone in hopes someone will send it back her way, she's doing everything she can think of to stand out. She brings out all her moves and does heartbreaking little check-ins to see if it's the one you want. Nightlight can flop onto her side and nosedive into hands, stretch her paws and knead the air. She can purr and nuzzle too, just tell her and she'll try her best. Nightlight has every reason to put her best effort forward as she could use a little follow up care.
