My story

Hi, I'm Grover — a sweet 14-year-old gentleman looking for a soft place to land. Life changed for me recently when my elderly owner, who loved me dearly, could no longer care for me. It was a hard goodbye, but I’m hopeful that my next chapter will be just as full of love — with someone who sees the beauty in older dogs like me. I’m a friendly little guy who enjoys peace and quiet. Loud noises and busy homes aren’t really my style anymore. These days, I’m happiest in a calm environment with gentle, loving people who understand that I might need a little extra care and a lot of heart. I’ve lived with another dog before, but as I’ve gotten older, I really prefer to have my own space. I’m not a fan of cats, and I’d do best with respectful kids who understand when I need a little quiet time. One thing I’ve struggled with is holding my bladder for long periods — it’s just part of getting older. But don’t worry, I’ve become quite the pro at wearing my stylish doggy diapers. It doesn’t slow me down, and I promise I’ll still be the best cuddle buddy you could ask for. I don’t need much — just a soft bed, kind words, and someone who will shower me with love for the rest of my golden years.
