Ruby

My story

She has a gentle temperament and is our resident pacifist, which somehow enrages our permanent cats, so we have to keep her separated from them. She’s the sort of cat who would rather do anything than fight, probably because she’s a mother who gave birth to two litters of kittens, so she has no time for foolishness (we rescued 6 of her kittens too). But Ruby’s pacifism does not mean she’s a couch potato- she lights up when humans play with her! She loves to sprint full speed after feather toys like da bird, and she’ll do adorable jumps of joy as she’s playing, like a cat version of jazz hands. Ruby would do well as a pampered only-cat, but she seems to really blossom around other friendly cats. When we rescued her from the alley behind our apartment, she had somehow created a friendly, stable society of cats who would calmly sit around our pool.
