My story

Meet Bronx! This 13-pound, 2-year-old cutie has the sweetest soul and a whole life ahead of him! His journey to us started when his previous owners, who worked 12-hour days, realized he deserved more than being confined to a playpen for most of his life. They made the choice to surrender him to us so he could find the kind of home where he can truly thrive.When Bronx first arrived, he was literally wearing a tiny backpack harness - adorable, but also a little heartbreaking. It was clear he hadn’t had much socialization. At first, he can be shy meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long before that hesitation melts away. Give him a few moments, and suddenly he’s bouncing into your lap or rolling over for belly rubs, his eyes saying, “This is all I’ve ever wanted.”Bronx is gentle, affectionate, and eager to connect. He gets along well with other dogs, but his true happiness comes from being near the people he trusts. Because he’s missed out on having constant companionship, he’d do best in a home where someone is around for most of the day to give him the attention he craves.This little guy is still discovering the world, and every new experience is a step toward the happy, full life he deserves.
