Liza

My story

Liza , 2 year and 14 pounds. She came to us two babies in tow from a shelter in Del Rio . She is skittish but very sweet and quiet. She rarely barks, she loves other animals and needs a home with another dog that is confident and happy to show her how to be a dog. We assume Liza was feral before coming to us, as she seems to just now be kind of learning how to dog. Liza needs a fenced in yard. She does not just come to you until she knows you and she gets very scared of change and new things, people and places. She needs an experienced adopter willing to help her build confidence. We see her blossom every day and know she has it in her to be a part of a family, she just does not know how good life can be just yet. I would call Liza a bit of a flight risk for the first few days so being very cautious of doors and gates is a must. She does settle in. She is smart and observant. She will be a fast learner and will blossom in a home where she is loved and given lots of positive reinforcement. It took about a week for her to willingly come to us but she does now. She loves the other dogs. Liza is very gentle and has been with dogs of all ages and sizes. She would be fine with cats, she is pretty submissive and has a sweet demeanor.
