My story

Meet Keanu, a handsome 8-year-old German Shepherd mix with a classic black and tan coat and a calm, loyal presence. Weighing around 60 lbs, Keanu has all the makings of a wonderful companion—his previous owner described him as a well-behaved house dog who lived peacefully with both dogs and cats. He can be a little reserved at first, but once he warms up, he’s affectionate and steady. Keanu does best with canine company and tends to feel anxious when crated or left alone, often whining or pacing, especially without other dogs nearby. He occasionally displays herding behavior—like gentle nips—toward other dogs when moving through doorways, but not with people. While he has no known experience with children, he’s generally easygoing in the home. Keanu has a history of seizures, with no episodes since 2019 and no current medication. This sweet, sensitive boy is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can relax, feel secure, and enjoy his golden years with people and pets who appreciate his gentle soul.The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas.Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online.If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510.
