About Buddy • Name: Buddy • Age: 3 years old • Gender: Male (neutered) • Breed: Jindo mix • Color: White • Weight: 18kg • Height (at shoulder): 56cm Rescue Story Buddy's life started with challenges. In May 2022, he and his two tiny siblings were found abandoned at just 2 months old and taken to a high-kill shelter. In 2023, he was rescued and initially stayed in a kennel before moving into a foster home. For the past 5 months, he has been thriving in a loving foster family of four, along with another dog and a cat. Personality & Temperament Buddy is naturally gentle and easygoing. At home, he is quiet, doesn’t bark unnecessarily, and never causes trouble—making him a joy to live with. He bonds closely with his foster mom and dad, showing loyalty and affection, especially towards his foster mom. When she returns home, he greets her with full-body excitement, cuddles, and requests for pets. • With People: Buddy is affectionate with women and feels most secure around them. He can be wary of adult men at first—sometimes growling softly out of fear—but he accepts touch and never shows aggression. Over time, he has built trust with his foster dad and now enjoys calm walks with him. He is cautious around children under 13, as sudden movements and loud voices make him uncomfortable. • With Other Animals: Buddy lives peacefully with another dog and a cat. He has never stolen food or shown resource guarding. With cats, he’s respectful—after one sniff and a swat, he learned to keep his distance. At the dog park, he greets other dogs politely but prefers calm friends over high-energy or rough play. Daily Life • Walks: Buddy goes on 3 walks a day, walking calmly without pulling on the leash. He recognizes when it’s walk time and waits by the door with excitement. • Food: He has a healthy appetite and eats his meals happily, without competing for food. • Car Rides: He loads and unloads himself, travels calmly, and doesn’t drool or have accidents. • At Home: Rarely barks, kennel-trained, and mostly does his business outdoors. After outdoor activities, he enjoys resting quietly indoors. Ideal Home Buddy would thrive in a calm, loving household, especially with a female guardian he can bond with. He’s best suited for families without very young children, as he can be nervous around sudden noise and movement. He enjoys outdoor activities but also loves relaxing indoors after a walk. Buddy is a gentle soul with a heart full of love—waiting for the right family who will give him security, patience, and a forever home. Send in your application today through our website!
