My story

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Ahjang Age: 5 years old (Born January 2020) Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Chihuahua/ Jindo mix Colour: Brown Weight: 9.5kg / 21lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Ahjang. I was rescued from an illegal puppy mill, and though I was born missing the lower part of my bottom jaw, I don’t let that slow me down one bit. I live life to the fullest, full of curiosity, love, and joy—and I’m ready to find a forever family who will adore me just as I am!   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete)  I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a little shy and timid when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you! Beneath my gentle shyness, I have the sweetest, most affectionate side waiting to shine. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily seek your cuddles, follow you around, and show you just how loving I can be.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a little shy when we first meet, but I’m gentle and sweet! I’ll take treats softly from your hand, and with just a bit of time, I’ll happily let you pet me. I don’t have much experience with kids yet, but I’m open to gentle interactions. You can pick me up once I feel comfortable, though at first I may explore and run around a bit as I settle into my new home. I just need some space and patience to feel safe. I don’t guard my food against people, so I’m easygoing and ready to make friends!   With Dogs:  I like meeting new dog friends, but once I’ve said hello, I usually like to do my own thing. I get along best with dogs my size, as big dogs can feel a little intimidating at first. If another dog is pushy or rude, I’m not afraid to stand my ground, so slow, thoughtful, and supervised introductions are important when meeting new friends. I can be a little sensitive with my food when other dogs are nearby and will growl to let them know I need my space. For meal times, it’s best to feed me separately so I can feel comfortable and relaxed.   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate energy level—enough to enjoy playful adventures outdoors, sniffing and exploring, but afterward, I love to curl up and snuggle indoors, resting peacefully by your side.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and usually follow my handler’s lead, though I love to take my time for lots of sniff inspections along the way—there’s so much to explore! I’m generally a quiet companion, but I’ll bark to let you know when I want attention, especially around meal times or walks—I like to make sure my voice is heard! Car rides can be a little scary for me, so being held in your arms helps me feel safe and secure. I prefer doing my business outdoors and enjoy keeping my surroundings tidy.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. Understanding of my neglected, abused past and willing to guide me with patience so I can learn to overcome my fears.  Ideally the only dog in the family, or a calm and confident dog sibling who will respect my space.  Understanding of my love for food and willing to train me with love and patience so I learn to be more patient around other dogs during meal times.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a very special girl, and I’m ready to meet my forever family! My past has made me a little shy, but once I feel safe, I’ll become your loyal shadow and constant companion. I may hide or run when I’m scared, so it’s very important to always double-leash me with a harness and collar whenever I’m outside, and to keep me in an enclosed space if I’m off-leash. Even though I’m timid, I’m gentle and not reactive—I just need patience, love, and understanding to help me bloom into the confident, loving girl I’m meant to be.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Ahjang’s YouTube Playlist ##2494063##
