My story

Paul is the life of the party and full of personality! This happy, social pup is playful, adventurous, and full of energy. He plays and eats well with his littermates, and while he’s the most vocal of the bunch (with a bit of dramatic flair!), it’s usually just his way of saying he’s hungry or ready to play. Like his siblings, Paul sleeps through the night but is always eager and bright-eyed when it’s mealtime.Raised indoors in a large x-pen, Paul has been exposed to all kinds of household sounds — barking dogs, vacuums, thunder, and power tools — and nothing has phased him so far. He’s loving, confident, and comfortable being handled, even upside down in your arms. While he hasn’t spent any time outdoors due to heat and his small size, he has proven to be adaptable and resilient inside the home.Paul is smart, curious, and quick to learn routines. He responds well to redirection and is motivated by food, making him a great candidate for positive reinforcement training. Like many puppies, he’s shown a mild interest in chewing wood (baseboards, gates, etc.), so some puppy-proofing will help keep him out of trouble. Crate training for short periods will also be helpful in establishing good behavior and boundaries.Though he expends a lot of energy playing with his littermates, Paul still needs plenty of sleep to grow and thrive. When overtired, he may get a bit mouthy — a sign that it’s time for a nap. He does best with a quiet, enclosed space like an x-pen where he can rest peacefully. As with most young pups, Paul needs slow introductions to new things. He`s sensitive and may show signs of hesitation, so a gentle, patient approach will help him feel safe and secure as he adjusts to a new home.Paul hasn’t started leash training or full potty training yet, but he’s been consistently using towel-covered areas in his pen. Pee pads are not suitable for him, as he tends to chew them. With his Shih Tzu heritage, Paul may require regular grooming depending on how his coat develops, and his rear dew claws will need trimming along with his other nails.Because of his tiny size, Paul should never be left outdoors unattended — he`s vulnerable to predators like hawks, owls, and coyotes. He’ll thrive in a loving, attentive home where he can receive lots of interaction, positive training, and time to adjust at his own pace.If you`re looking for a fun-loving, energetic pup with a big personality and even bigger heart, Paul migh
