My story

Meet Prieto, the insanely handsome and polite boy who just might be your new biggest fan and most loyal companion!Hi there! I’m Prieto—but my foster family lovingly calls me “Milo.” I was found as a stray and brought to the shelter, and now I’m on the lookout for a forever home filled with love, playtime, and belly rubs.I currently weigh around 55 pounds, but I’m still growing into my big, goofy paws! I live with two awesome foster sisters and get along great with other dogs and people. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m a social butterfly who loves making new friends. I’m non-reactive and do great in public settings - brunch outings are my jam!My foster mom says I’m a dream on walks. I stay right by her side and don’t pull on the leash. I’ve got a playful spirit and a cozy heart: I love tug-of-war, stuffed toys, and chewing on bones, but I also know how to settle down for a good nap.Car rides? I do well, though I sometimes get a little nervous and feel queasy. Baths? I’m learning to tolerate them - anything to make my humans proud! We’re working on potty training, and while I’m not perfect yet, I’m getting really close. I’m super treat-motivated and a fast learner, I already know how to sit, give paw, and lay down!If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, playful, and loyal companion who’s ready to grow up by your side, I might just be your guy.
