My story

  Animal Profile: Annie is an estimated 4 month old female mixed breed puppy joining us from Hawaii on Thursday, 8/14/25. We believe Annie is a Cattle Dog/Chi mix and is petite, weighing about 8lbs right now. Annie and her sibling, Smoke, were surrendered to the Hawaii County Animal Control after their owner realized they couldn't provide the necessary care these pups needed. They received much needed care and are now ready for their forever home in the PNW. We will share more about Annie as she settles in to her foster home. Foster Update: Annie is an independent little ball of love! Loves to be around people and play with toys. She enjoys other dogs and takes corrections from other dogs well, she does not need to be with another dog as she’s a very confident little gal. Potty training and crate training are coming along well and she sleeps through the night in her crate.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
