My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $750Fresh from the oven and full of sweetness, meet the Bundtlet Pups! Born June 10, 2025, these adorable Yorkie-mix babies (with a mystery dad!) are the perfect recipe for fun, snuggles, and endless joy. Just like their dessert namesakes, each one has their own irresistible flavor of personality—some are sweet, some are bold, and some are a little bit of both! Their daily routine is full of puppy happiness: dry food is always available for them to snack on, but they also enjoy wet food three times a day—breakfast at sunrise, a light lunch, and dinner in the early evening. But lately, dinner is often delayed by their greatest joy: running wild and free around the room while their foster cleans up. They’re already puzzle pros, tug-of-war champions, squeaky-toy fanatics, and are learning that treats like turkey and hot dog bits are worth sitting politely for (especially when there are extra hands to help!). Rope toys, tennis balls, and even a mist of cool water on a hot day all become their playground. When it comes to personality, these little ones each bring something special to the table. Key Lime Pie may be tiny, but she’s fierce—holding her own in play and always ready for adventure, especially alongside her partner-in-crime, Strawberries & Cream. Strawberries is the fiery one of the bunch, determined, smart, and a little spicy—she’s already mastered climbing and problem-solving, proving that size means nothing when you’ve got attitude. Together, these two are often the first to try new things and the first to scramble into a lap for cuddles. Red Velvet is the little starlet of the group—she’s playful, snuggly, and knows how to strike a pose the second she spots a camera. People can’t help but be drawn to her charm. Confetti, on the other hand, is a bit of a chatterbox—she loves to bark and whine to get her siblings (or humans!) involved in her fun. Despite her big personality, she also treasures quiet cuddle time and belly rubs, especially when her siblings aren’t climbing all over her. The bigger pups bring their own brand of sweetness. Chunky Chocolate Chip (aka Chonky, aka The Gentleman) is thoughtful, patient, and already shows signs of being incredibly smart and intuitive. He’s the type of pup who waits his turn for treats, makes eye contact that melts your heart, and could easily grow into a wonderful support or therapy companion. His frequent playmate, S’Mores, is equally lovable—more independent at times, but happiest roughhousing with her siblings or leaning into a good back rub. She may not always run to you first, but once she’s in your arms, she doesn’t want to leave. And then there’s Oreo, the silly free spirit of the litter. From the start, he was first at everything—walking before his eyes opened, crunching kibble before he had teeth, always determined to do things his own way. He’s goofy, cuddly, and just a little bit of a daydreamer. He’ll make you laugh with his antics, then melt into your arms for a nap. As a group, these pups are a whirlwind of fun, curiosity, and affection. They turn everyday objects into toys, bring laughter with their antics, and already show surprising cleverness. Some will climb into your lap for endless snuggles, some will entertain you with daring stunts, and some will sit back and soak it all in—but together, they’re a perfect mix of personalities waiting for their forever homes.
