Little Red has lost everything. Born in April 2013, this orange-and-white senior lady spent her life surrounded by love, comfort, and family. She had her brother Jessie by her side, other feline friends to share her days with, and most importantly — a person she thought would be with her forever. But when tragedy struck and her beloved owner passed away, Little Red’s world crumbled. Overnight, she went from a cherished family member to a grieving senior cat without a home. At twelve years old, Little Red should be spending her golden years curled up in familiar spots, enjoying gentle companionship and the simple routines she’s always known. Instead, she’s trying to navigate heartbreak and uncertainty. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and while new faces and places are scary at first, she still finds the courage to reach out. Once she feels safe, Little Red shows her affection in the sweetest way — with head butts full of love. And, like many of us, she takes comfort in food, a small joy that helps soothe her in the middle of so much loss. Little Red lived peacefully with other cats, but she probably hasn’t been around dogs or very young children — we just don’t know. What we do know is that she desperately needs a quiet, gentle home where she can finally grieve and, in time, rediscover love. This shouldn’t be how her story ends. Can you give Little Red the gift of a safe forever home, where her head butts and purrs will be treasured instead of lost to silence?
