My story

My foster writes: Lucia is a beautiful cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She may have started out a little unsure, but she's blossomed into a loving, loyal companion who just wants to be close to her people. Her favorite thing in the world is companionship. She happily follows her humans from room to room, curls up nearby to keep watch, and sometimes even plops herself down in front of the door to make sure she doesn't miss a moment with them. She's playful, clever, and full of little quirks-like trying to gently "hold on" when someone heads for the door, or sitting proudly on a chair in the evenings to watch TV with the family.Lucia also has a curious, endearing side. She loves observing the daily routine, whether it's keeping an eye on shower time, watching bedtime preparations, or simply lounging nearby while the household winds down for the night. She's learning every day how to channel her energy into affection, and her sweet, silly nature is shining through more and more.Lucia will thrive in a forever family that appreciates her loyalty, playfulness, and big heart. With patience and love, she'll give back endless companionship and joy.Lucia is a striking 3-year-old black cat with a heart as mysterious and beautiful as her glossy coat. She's an independent soul who likes to set the pace of affection-she'll come to you for pets when she's ready, and when she does, it's pure magic.Lucia is looking for a calm, patient home where she can take her time settling in. She appreciates slow introductions to new people and spaces, and she blossoms in an environment where she feels safe and respected.Though she may be a bit shy at first, daily gentle interaction will help her feel more confident and connected. With time, Lucia promises to be a loyal companion who chooses you every day.If you believe that love is earned, not rushed-and you're ready to open your heart and home to a cat who just needs a little time-Lucia might be your perfect match.A volunteer writes: Lucia's stream of consciousness conversation style is entirely purposeful and much more than endearingly adorable chit chat. It's a detailed and organized narrative of her day and plans for tomorrow. Lucia saw me visiting with one of her neighbors and popped over to talk to me. When I opened her condo door, however, Lucia went to the back of her condo and suddenly quieted. In her previous home, Lucia was extraordinarily playful, trying to play with everything she could get her little paws on. From bottle caps to hair ties, she just wanted to play and be around people. Though she cuddled with her guardian each night, Lucia doesn't always know what to make of the Care Center. She eventually chirped out some ideas and tentatively walked forward. Lucia's been trying her best and is really hoping you'll come to meet her soon. Primary Color: Black Weight: 16.4 Age: 3yrs 3mths 2wks
