My story

NEVER MET A STRANGER  DOB 3/8/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Waffles, a friendly, outgoing, and very playful red mackerel tabby fella whom Foster Meowmy describes as a “rascal” and a “real character.” I’m a rascal because I undermine my prospects of adoption by my temporary aberrant behavior. You see,  I’m not shy at all, even around new people. I’m always in a good mood – with the exception of hissing at people when I go to adoption events. It’s not that I’m aggressive – it’s just that I don’t like being in a crate. I’m miserable when I'm a caged prisoner at PetSmart, but when I get back to running free in my foster home, I revert to being my usual even-tempered self.  A Good Samaritan rescued me from under a trailer in Tomball as a nine-week-old orphan with no momma or siblings in sight. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy added me to a litter of kittens who were exactly my same age, and I integrated seamlessly with my “surrogate” brothers and sisters so that we’re just one big happy family. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I also get along great with all of Foster Meowmy’s resident dogs and cats, who don’t hesitate to teach me all the manners that Momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. When I’m not playing or cuddling with my “siblings,” I like to explore every nook and cranny in the house. In my solitary moments when I need a “time out” from the kitten frenzy, I like to bask in a patch of sunshine in the window to gaze out as the squirrels scamper and birds fly by. Now it’s time for me to bring my blithe spirit and outgoing amiability to enhance my forever family. Could that be you? As long as I can run free and you don’t fence me in, I’ll be an angelic schmoozer to your heart’s delight.  Arrange to meet me today! HOPE ID 25-0520-C038 Waffles’ $100 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Waffles will be this week-end, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.
