My story

ABBY & AUTUMN - A bonded pair Abby (black Chihuahua mix) and Autumn (brown Chihuahua mix) were found abandoned on the streets in Auburn covered in fleas, severely matted hair, and extremely long nails.  Autumn was severely underweight.  That was about a month ago and they are now doing AWESOME!  They have been groomed, dewormed, deflected, spayed, and vaccinated.  They were initially hesitating when they joined my house, but quickly warmed up.  They are both 3 years old and would make the best addition to a home. Abby is black and weighs right at 11 pounds.  Autumn is smaller than her sister at only 8 pounds.  They are both fully house trained, sleep in their crates, and get along with their 7 foster dog siblings.   Autumn would love to be touching humans if at all possible and loves to give kisses to me.  Abby loves attention, but doesn’t crave being held - pets, ear rubs, and scritches to a spot on her back right before her tail.  She will spin around so you can reach it better. They both love sunbathing while watching the world drift by and are good eaters.  If given the chance, Abby will take Autumn’s share of food too.   We would like the girls to go together because they huddled together until they were captured and when they are stressed, they seek each other out - like when they were getting spayed, they cried until they were put in the same kennel together. They are some of the sweetest dogs you will meet and are quite quiet.  I expect they would work well in an apartment/condo/townhome because while they do bark, they are not excessive barkers. Because of their size, respectful children a bit older would be best fits.  Cats are unknown, but they do not appear to have e high prey drive. Abby and Autumn are now vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Their adoption fee is $525 in total.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
