My story

Mountain is the best of both worlds—an old soul with a puppy’s sparkle.  Mountain is approximately 9 years old and very portable at only 12 pounds. This sweet boy has the softest fur (it feels like velvet!), the gentlest heart, and a whole lot of love to give. He’s happiest right by your side or on your lap, soaking up every moment together, whether that’s on a walk, lounging at home, or just being your shadow.  __ Mountain is still adjusting to all the big changes in his life, so he can be a little skittish at first—but his loving nature shines through quickly once he feels safe. He loves to engage with a good game of fetch (his banana toy is his favorite ) Mountain is house-trained. He has a big appetite (great for training!); and he knows some commands including "sit", "off", "stay" and "wait"; he walks beautifully on leash. And when it’s time for walks? His tail can’t wag fast enough! He’s a pure love bug who thrives on companionship. Mountain would do especially well in a home where he has another dog buddy, if his people are away during the day. A home with children who are dog savvy and will be gentle with him would be just fine with Mountain! If you’re looking for a loyal, tenderhearted pup who will be your best friend through thick and thin, Mountain is ready to climb right into your heart.  Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies.
