My story

- A gorgeous, gentle, shy sweetheart who will need time to settle into her new home- Once she is comfortable, she enjoys sitting next to you and will accept lots of pets and chin scrtiches- Has a loud purr that she likes to share- Enjoys using a cat tree with an enclosed area- Has a lot of love to give and will be a wonderful companion for a quiet person or two who will allow her to settle in at her own slow pace. It took several weeks for her to become comfortable with her foster family, so plan on giving her a few weeks in her new home, too. She is worth the wait! - Young, busy children are too much for her, so she is looking for a mature home-Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like she does- Was fearful when he arrived at the shelter, but he has been coming out of her shell and is a total sweetheart with the people she feels comfortable with- Has corneal scarring in her left eye (more info at ARL)This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting!
