My story

My foster writes:This little sweetheart has come a long way and would do great in a home with another cat since he loves to play and cuddle with them! He quickly adapted to our daily routine and uses the litter box with no accidents. He isn't a fussy eater and patiently waits for his meals and treats. He is still a little unsure of people and would need patience and continued interaction so he can truly flourish-but don't let that deter you! When approached slowly with soft voice, he will allow snuggles, pets, kisses and rolls over for belly rubs so he's becoming more trusting every day. He is playful, smart and has lots of kitten energy and is a good fly catcher but can also spend the day on the windowsill sleeping and watching the birds. Soon he will be a total love bug-he just needs a little time to get there. Please adopt Finch and help him be all he can be in loving home he deserves!What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.Finch appears to be fearful and may not have had much human interaction up to this point. During the assessment he hissed and scrambled away from any attempts at handling, contact could not be made with the assessor's hands, and would benefit from extra socialization. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents who are preferably familiar with kitten socialization or are open to detailed counseling by staff. Contact with young children should be avoided or done under strict supervision to prevent provoking a fear response, further delaying socialization.
