My story

Meet Berry 3 years old | Spayed Female | Poodle Mix | 5.5kg | Brown She was one of 33 dogs, including newborn puppies, found living inside a camper. Thankfully, she was rescued and is now ready to begin her new chapter with a loving family. Personality with People Berry is a true people-lover! She warms up instantly, happily approaches strangers, and adores being held. If you sit down, expect her to hop into your lap right away—even if another dog is already there. Her favorite place is always in your arms. Because of her background, she may bark at unfamiliar people entering her home and sometimes tries to guard her primary caregiver. She does well with children under 13, allows being picked up comfortably, and once she trusts you, she’ll roll over to show her belly. Social with Dogs Berry isn’t very interested in other dogs—she much prefers people. She doesn’t mind them around and isn’t confrontational, but playing with them isn’t really her thing. Large dogs don’t scare her, but she’s all about the humans in her life. With Cats She ignores cats during walks and shows no chasing behavior. Further testing is possible. Energy Level Currently, she has a low energy level, but she may become more lively and playful once she’s settled into a forever home. Walks Berry doesn’t have much leash-walking experience yet. Sometimes she stops or resists if the leash is pulled, but she’s not fearful of being outdoors. With patience and bonding, she’ll learn to enjoy walks alongside her person. Other Notes • No food aggression toward people or dogs • Calm in a kennel and car • Comfortable riding in cars, even moving between the front and back seats • Sleeps well during rides • Mostly does her business outdoors • Currently working on her tendency to bark at strangers—it may not go away completely, but training can help manage it Berry is a gentle, affectionate little dog who thrives on human companionship.
