My story

My name is Jangsoo, and I’m a strong and sweet 1-year-old boy, weighing about 14kg (31 lbs). I’m in great health with no known medical issues, and I live each day full of love and energy after being rescued just in time from a shelter where I was facing euthanasia. Now, I’m ready for a second chance at life—with you! If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be affectionate. I absolutely love people! I’m what you’d call a professional kiss-giver—I greet everyone, even strangers, with a wagging tail, happy heart, and lots of cuddles. Whether it’s guests at home or new faces on the street, I warm up instantly and love being around all kinds of people—kids, adults, everyone! I also adore other dogs and get really excited when I see potential playmates during walks. I’d do well in a home with other dogs, but I’d also be happy as an only dog—as long as I get plenty of love and bonding time with my human. I haven’t met cats yet, but I’m so friendly and adaptable that I just might get along with them too. As for my daily routine, I’m fully outdoor potty trained and do my business during my morning and evening walks—never indoors! I don’t struggle with separation anxiety, and I can calmly stay home alone for 5–6 hours during the day, usually napping on a beanbag or keeping myself entertained with a snuffle mat. I’m not a big barker, though I might let out a bark or two if another dog gets loud or if I spot a bird or pup outside the window—but I settle quickly when you guide my attention elsewhere. I walk well on a leash! I may get a little excited and pull ahead sometimes, especially when I spot another dog I’d like to say hello to, but if you call my name or gently guide me, I follow beautifully. I’m not reactive to loud noises, flapping banners, or cars—just curious and calm, which makes me a great walking companion. I know how to sit really well, and I’m still working on paw (shake)—treats help! I ride quietly in the car, though I’ve occasionally had a little motion sickness, so timing meals before travel helps. I’m very easy to handle—I don’t mind baths, brushing, or being touched. I’m still getting used to tooth brushing, so I’ll need some patient practice there. I love chew toys and enjoy eating all kinds of delicious treats like meat, eggs, and sweet potatoes. I’m not really into fruit, though. 😅 Overall, I’m easygoing, affectionate, and a total sweetheart who’s simple to care for. Once you spend a little time with me, you’ll see just how quickly I’ll steal your heart. With my warm gaze and affectionate personality, I’ll become your loving shadow in no time.
