My story

Meet Walter 💕 Walter is a very sweet, affectionate boy with a heart full of love to give. He quickly bonds with his people and is happiest when snuggled up close—he’ll even fall asleep on your chest with his paws in the air, completely content. He loves gentle pets, gives the softest kisses, and has the sweetest personality. At night, Walter is the perfect bed buddy. He sleeps calmly through the night without waking his foster family. He is house-trained, though he initially marked indoors, which was easily managed with belly bands. Walter is also very good with other dogs and even gets along with cats. He responds well to gentle corrections and has shown he can share space peacefully. Walter’s biggest need is companionship. While he is quiet and relaxed when his people are nearby, he becomes anxious and barks if left alone in a separate room or behind a baby gate. For this reason, Walter would thrive in a single-family home with someone who is home most of the day. He is not suited for condos, apartments, or townhouses with shared walls. Walter’s ideal forever family will be patient, loving, and willing to give him the reassurance he craves.
