My story

Raquel the puppy is ready and rarin` to go! Sitting at 25 lbs. (and growing!), this sweet gal is looking for a family to show all the wonderful things life has to offer. Raquel is a total ham for attention, so be prepared to give AND take lots of love and cuddles. She`s going to need someone in her life that`s ready to guide her along the path to becoming a well-mannered and socialized adult dog. She`s still learning the ways of the world, but she seems to pick up on things pretty quickly. We have no doubt that with a solid routine and some patience, she`s going to blossom into the best dog ever! Raquel has been adjusting well to her surroundings while here at the shelter, and she`s interacted well with some of our other doggy friends. Because of her energy levels and clumsy zoomies, we highly recommend a dog-to-dog be done here at the shelter to ensure any dog she may be living with is comfortable with her bouncy puppy playstyle. This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
