My story

Athena and Piper are a delightful bonded pair of 3-year-old Rat Terrier mixes who each weigh about 10 pounds. These sweet little ladies are truly a dynamic duo—where one goes, the other happily follows. Piper is the shyer of the two, but with Athena’s gentle encouragement, she’s learning to be brave and show off her playful side. They’re tidy girls who keep a clean kennel. When they’re out and about they love to zoom around your feet and bring smiles wherever they go. Once they’ve decided you’re a friend, they’ll be right in your lap, whether you’re relaxing on the couch or sitting at your desk. They’re still a little unsure of men at the moment, but with patience and kindness, their affectionate nature shines through. Athena and Piper are looking for a forever home together where they can keep each other company, share their sweet cuddles, and continue to blossom as the inseparable pair they are. Their combined adoption fee is $450, plus a $15 fee per dog for the rabies transfer fee for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
