My foster writes:Hi I'm Lucy! I am a sweet cuddlebug, and I would love to lay at your feet and join you around the house. I am good in the crate, but would love all the pets and love you can give me. I am very playful, but love to settle down and nap next to you. I love chasing a ball around on my own and showing you I found it again. I am respectful of your things and only play with my toys. If you choose to bring me into your home, i will love to be your buddy and show you all the love with my little puppydog eyes! What my friends at ACC say about me:I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.A volunteer writes: I've been thinking about Lucy ever since I met her. First, surrendered because her guardian was pregnant, she coincidentally was suspected to be pregnant, too. And then she got kennel cough. She was even to the point where she wasn't eating unless she was being hand fed. She was reported to be heartbroken about being separated from her family: she jumped into the field officer's lap, and was vocal about her distress and confusion, but still was so friendly to people. But now that she's spayed and starting to feel a bit better, I simply look forward to the next time I can hang out with her. She is an absolute pleasure to be around. She's playful: she loves all toys and playing fetch in the yard. And she's soooo sweet (and even tolerant of wearing our little summer "costume"). She's my "break dog," the dog I walk when I need an easy-going companion and a break from the pullers and high energy dogs. Quite honestly, she's perfect. Her former guardian echoes our sentiments, describing her as active and playful with no behavioral issues. She loves bath time and meat, is crate trained and knows some cues, and is tolerant of dogs of all sizes on and off leash. She lived well with her male housemate (placed with rescue). She is fearful of cats and actively avoids them. If I haven't convinced you to ask to meet Lucy as of yet, then I fear nothing else I say will persuade you. Don't let her wait another minute in the shelter, ask to meet her today! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 72 Age: 1yrs 6mths 4wks
