My story

This girl! What a perfect little lady. Molly Mae quickly settled into her foster home with a decompression period much shorter than most. She is so well behaved. Quiet, calm, enjoys meeting new people. She’s getting out and having all kinds of adventures with her foster mom and dad. Like going for a boat ride! Mollly Mae stormed the helm like a well seasoned salty dog and quickly found her sea legs. What will be her next adventure? This girl has it going on. Can you say House trained! 100% she gets an A+++... she will alert when she needs to go out and has not had any accidents in the house. Dang girl, can you share your secret with all the other dachshunds out there?! She's a first rate snuggler and bed buddy....once she is asleep, she is out...no kicking her pushing from this girl. She loves loves loves the outdoors and exploring in the yard. She enjoys her walks and needs plenty of them since she is working on loosing a few pounds. She has a bit of separation anxiety when left alone but is learning her new schedule and adapting well. And while this may feel a little high, we can show you where we've spent at least 50% MORE than that on her vetting. Plus she has a lot of miles left in her "tires" - she definitely does not act her years. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Molly Mae will go to her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit. DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia. Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime.
