Jolene ("Jo-Jo" or "Joey") was rescued after having a litter of puppies off the streets of Texas, had a fancy airplane flight up to Colorado, and after a single adoption event, "stole her man." At 1 year old, she thought she had found her happily ever after, winning over her special human with her looks beyond compare, her smile like a breath of spring, a bark that is not so much like summer rain (but actually somewhat intimidating), and her white and black coat. But life happens and her human was hospitalized, and without any one left to care for her, she was returned to the rescue. So now, Jo-Jo is looking for her second chance happy Dollywood ending where she runs off into the sunset with a loving family, chews up some bones, plays with her friends, and maybe goes for a hike or two. Jo-Jo's official dog breed is "very good girl" but genetically, her origins are unknown - probably some combination of cattle dog, German short hair pointer, heeler, or giant beagle but mostly Texas mutt. She is about 6 years old now and has a lot of love to give and a perfect amount of energy. Unlike when she was first adopted, Jo-Jo knows commands, walks on the leash, rides in a car, is housetrained with no accidents, behaves well around other animals including cats and dogs, interacts positively with children, and does not have crazy puppy energy. She's up for any adventure, loves going on walks but also loves cuddling on the couch, getting belly rubs, and settling in with a good bone. She sleeps every night in her dog bed. She wakes up every morning wagging her tail, happy to see you. She doesn't generally bark but if someone comes to door, she gives a strong guard dog bark that should intimidate most murderers to go away but doesn't seem to bother the UPS man. Jo-Jo is a gentle and sweet soul, despite being named after a man-stealer. Mostly, she just wants her people around her but also is old enough and wise enough to be left alone at home without any issues whatsoever. She's the kind of dog that loves going for a walk, run, or hike but also doesn't hold it against you if she didn't get exercise that day. Every one wants a puppy but no one wants the crazy puppy behavior that comes along with taking a puppy home. Adopting Jo-Jo is the perfect solution to this puppy dilemma because she's just as cute as any puppy but already well-behaved without any bad habits or time consuming training work to do. Jo-Jo is up to date on all vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400. She comes with endless love, deep loyalty, and good-dog energy. You won't find a better way to spend four-hundred bucks in this entire world. ##658771##
