My shelter name is Marley, but my foster mom calls me Mama. I`m a very sweet girl. I follow my foster mom around the house from room to room. I really love when somebody pets me and I give lots of kisses in return. Whoever takes me home needs to know that I`m an escape artist. That`s probably how I ended up being a stray. My foster home has a fenced in yard but mom still goes outside with me because I try to dig at the fence when she`s not looking. I really didn`t like car rides when I first came here and would try to pull away from the car but now I`m getting better and get in on my own. When I came to this home I brought 7 puppies with me as well. At first I got to run around and do what I wanted. Now that my puppies are doing ok on their own, my foster mom is working on crate training and house training with me. There are other dogs in this house as well. I do ok with the boy dogs, but they let me tell them what to do. I don`t like to share my water, food, or toys. Even though my foster mom says I`m a sweet dog, my next home should do some research on my breed and be familiar with dogs from the working group. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
