My story

Meet Lana! When Lana was first found, she was scared and alone, wandering the streets of downtown without a place to call home. At 6 years old and weighing 20 pounds, this sweet girl has come such a long way since that uncertain beginning. Lana can still be shy when meeting new people, so she’ll need a little patience and understanding as she adjusts to a new home. It might take her a few days to start coming out of her shell, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines through. Some of Lana’s favorite quirks include: • She prances like a little princess when she’s happy • She nudges your hand when she wants love (often!) • She has claimed every pillow in the house as her throne Lana enjoys short walks on leash, loves exploring new smells, and is content following her foster siblings around the house like a quiet little shadow. She’s crate-trained, but also trustworthy to free roam, making her an easy and gentle companion. Lana would do best in a calm, quiet home with someone who will give her the time she needs to blossom. She’s not the right match for a busy household with toddlers, but she would be the perfect companion for a senior or anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate friend with a big personality. Lana is proof that even the hardest beginnings can lead to the most beautiful new chapters. All she needs now is someone to believe in her and give her the forever home she deserves.
