My story

**Currently in a foster home while he gains weight. By appointment only! Jude is looking for a foster or a foster-to-adopt home! He arrived enormously underweight - just 46 lbs. In just over a week, he's put on nearly 1 lb a day. His focus for the next few weeks will be to continue his controlled weight gain via his refeeding diet. This is not something that can be rushed, and so his movement within the shelter is at a standstill until he is at a healthy body condition. This is where a foster family or someone looking to foster-to-adopt comes in. Staying in a home outside of the shelter gives him a break from the stress of the kennel environment, allows him to focus all his attention on using his calories for getting healthy, and frees up an intake kennel to let the shelter keep on helping other animals in need.As always, all supplies are provided by us - food, bedding, toys, leashes, and crates. Jude is dog friendly, extremely social with humans, and has your typical shepherd personality. He is interested in toys, is very goofy and expressive, loves to lay across your lap, and is just a big ham. Despite his starved state, he takes treats incredibly gently, a testament to the sweet nature that he easily reveals.
