My story

Hi! My name is Rex and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 6 year old male Cattle Dog who is eager for a new home! I am a fun loving guy who enjoys snuggles, but I appear to have been trained not to jump on the bed, so you can snuggle me on the couch while we watch a show….or 10. I like to go places and will sit by your side if we want to stop and eat somewhere. I get along with other dogs, but my herding dog side comes in strong when I see a cat, so no cats for me. My preference is to spend most of my time with someone so if you work from home sometimes or all the times that would be my favorite thing. If you don’t, please don’t let that stop you from meeting me. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
