My story

Meet Tree Trunks 🍏💛 Named after the sweet and sassy cartoon elephant from Adventure Time, Tree Trunks is a 6-year-old, 10-pound chi mix with a story that will make your heart ache. A kind couple was driving down a long, empty country road — nothing for miles — when they spotted a tiny dog on the shoulder. They turned the car around, and the woman called out to her. To their amazement, this little pup ran right to them. If you’ve ever tried to catch a stray, you know how rare that is — almost never happens with a small dog out on their own. They scanned for a microchip and thought she didn’t have one. But when she came to us, we checked again and found it. We reached out to the number — called and texted — but after the fourth attempt, the owner blocked our number. This poor babydoll is such a total love bug, I can’t imagine who would have the heart to put her down off their lap — much less dump her. 💔 BUT! Those days are behind her, and she has pulled herself out of the trenches. She’s ready to find her forever home, for real this time. Tree Trunks gets along beautifully with all dogs and adores every human she meets. She absolutely adores kids and is very gentle and patient with them. Whoever takes her home will be getting the sweetest, most loyal little lap warmer in the world. 💕
