My story

Meet Vegas! Vegas is an approximately 1 year old, male, Pug mix who weighs approximately 26 lbs. He was found with his big buddy off Wyndemere and Kestrel Court in Heath on 08/22/2025. Sadly, no owners came forward and he is looking forward to his furr ever home. He is a very smart boy who is ready to take on any adventure! He likes his dog friends in all shapes and sizes. Vegas was originally brought in with a Great Pyr and they turned out to be the best of friends. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure they get along. Vegas' adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination, and basic boosters. Vegas did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, Vegas will be able to receive treatment at little to no cost to his adopter. If you have any questions, RAC staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about heartworms or his treatment protocol. Due to popularity, meet and greets will be by approved application only. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
