At just two years old, this sweet Maltipoo is the perfect balance of affectionate snuggler and calm companion. When Carly first arrived in foster care, she was shy and hesitant, preferring to watch the world quietly from the safety of her crate. But in just a few days, she’s begun to blossom— gaining confidence, enjoying her walks, and even trotting happily alongside her foster parent. One of her foster’s favorite moments? Watching Carly go from barely wanting to step outside to running for a full 30 minutes without stopping! At home, Carly is a true lounger. She’s happiest curled up on the sofa or snoozing near her person, often following her foster from room to room. She’s a snuggler at heart, happily asking for belly rubs, but she’s not clingy— after soaking up affection, she settles nearby with a calm presence. Think of her as a “50% velcro dog”—close enough to feel loved, but independent enough to give you space, too. Carly’s daily rhythm is simple and easy. She eats three meals a day (7am, 11:30am, 6pm) and enjoys her morning and evening walks. She walks politely on leash, doesn’t bark at other dogs, and while she may pause to sniff or tug when curious, she’s overall a relaxed walking buddy. Indoors, she’s housetrained, crate-trained, and has had no accidents. While Carly hasn’t been tested with kids or cats, she’s calm and polite with dogs she sees on walks. She doesn’t show much interest in strangers but bonds deeply with her trusted people. She does bark occasionally if she hears something outside, but otherwise she’s quiet. Carly would thrive in a gentle, loving home. She doesn’t need constant activity; what she wants most is love, security, and a cozy spot by your side. Her foster says what makes Carly truly special is her sensitivity and her blossoming spirit: “She’s changing every day— opening up, exploring more, and showing us her gentle, affectionate heart.” August 22, 2025, 9:17 pm
