Approx DOB: April 2025 This spritely, playful girl was found in a chicken coop with her brother, and originally dubbed Foghorn and Leghorn. The fosters thought that after a lifetime of being outside, the Chicken Kittens would need lots of attention and training to get acclimated to people. How wrong they were - it turns out the little girl kitten was the one in charge of training, making sure their foster parents were always around to pick them up and hold them close so they could get an earful of this little girl's giant purr engine, which always seems to be running. Her fosters adore her adventurous spirit and bravery, as well as her larger-than-life character that somehow fits in her tiny body. They started calling her all kinds of names, including Chicken Hawk (after Foghorn Leghorn's tiny nemesis) and Kitty Hawk, but "Hawk" has stuck the most. She loves to play, and will wear herself out chasing, wrestling, and playing with her big brother (who was twice her size until she caught up to him!). She is endlessly curious about the great big world, and will explore and play until she wears herself out, at which point she will cuddle up close to a human and pass out hard. Hawk should be adopted with her bonded brother (Foggy), who will always be down to be a part of the great big cuddle pile. Both kittens have been with older cats, and get along swimmingly, and they are so easygoing when handled that their fosters theorize that they will fit in to any family, as long as they are down to have two spirited kittens in the house! Please note: Cats and kittens are social creatures and greatly benefit from being with other pets; therefore, kittens under the age of 6 months cannot be adopted as single pets. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet kitties you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.furryfriendsnetwork.com and look under Foster a Furry Friend.
