My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Stinker! When she joined us, we thought who could possibly name this sweet little girl such a name? Maybe they did it because she’s so stinking cute? Then, as Stinker settled in and we got to know her better, we learned that she is indeed a little stinker and her antics are sure to keep you on your toes! (Antics like catching her standing ON the dining room table as soon as you turn your back on dinner!) Stinker is a lap dog through and through, if you’re getting off the couch and walking to another room, so is she! But all the same, if she’s going outside to potty, so are you because she won’t go out alone! Stinker is friendly and has playful spurts with other animals near her size but her jealousy gets the better of her and she doesn’t do well with sharing your attention. She’s best suited as an only pet but she would do well in a family home with children, she can be a little slow to warm up to strangers but she adores attention. She would also do well trying out doggie daycare to keep up on her socialization skills while still remaining queen of the castle in her own home! Stinker is not well suited for apartment/multi family style life, she has found her voice and will be sure to let the neighbors know if you’ve left her home alone! While she’s happy to explore a yard alongside her person, she could also learn to enjoy walks and so she won’t require a fence. Stinker is not fully potty trained but will use a potty pad inside in addition to having supervised potty breaks outside. Stinker takes a daily medication for anxiety and will likely need seasonal allergy meds as well as regular grooming for her pretty, curly coat. Stinker’s adoption fee is $300 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccines and monthly preventatives plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company #2 in Hiawatha. If you want to meet Stinker, please submit an adoption application for consideration (priority will be given to those who live within 50 miles of Cedar Rapids, IA). Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any pets altered, as indoor pets only and kept current on all annual vaccines and monthly preventatives.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 23, 2025, 11:03 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stinker, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
