Hi! My name is Sandy and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up by as a stray by animal control and taken to a loud and scary place called a shelter. I was in pretty rough shape and after my stray hold was up and no one was giving me a second look, I ended up on something bad called "the list". Fortunately for me, a nice lady with a small, local rescue came and got me and couple other dogs right before anything bad could happen to us; she then asked BCAA if they might be able to help me and they said yes ... yeah! I am around 8months now and weigh a little under 20lbs (that is after my foster mom has been giving me lots of good food and treats which I love). My foster mom says I might have a little bit of hound and little bit of lab mixed in, but that whatever I am, she says I'm super sweet. I was so scared when I first came into foster but with some time and TLC from both of my foster parents I have started coming out of my shell; however, I will need a special home that will be patient with me and give me some time to learn to trust. It also might help me if there is another dog in the home that I can learn from as I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met. I have started showing a little bit of interest in the cats although I haven't been aggressive towards them, but maybe a home without them might be best. I have done well in my crate without any accidents, and other than barking at the cats who prance in front of my crate teasing I have been quiet. I will need a fenced yard in order to take care of my business and to explore. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
