My story

Meet Westminster (But You Can Call Him Bubba!)   Gender: Male   Allow us to introduce Westminster — though if you ask his foster mom, she'll tell you this distinguished gentleman goes by Bubba, and honestly, once you meet him you'll completely understand why. He is, in his own words, a good boy. And truly, that might be the understatement of the year. Bubba is not here to complicate your life. In fact, this lovable, laid-back, gloriously low-maintenance boy seems almost personally dedicated to making your life easier and more enjoyable — and he would very much like some belly rubs in return. Fair deal? We think so. Let's talk about manners, because Bubba has been putting in the work and he wants you to know it. He already has "sit," "stay," and — our personal favorite — "step back" in his repertoire. That last one is particularly impressive because it means his foster mom gets to go through the door first, like the queen she is. Is Bubba still mastering his full command list? Yes. Is he trying his very best? Absolutely. Does he deserve enormous credit for the progress he's made? Without question. On leash walks, Bubba is genuinely a pleasure. He strolls along nicely beside you like a true gentleman — most of the time. Occasionally there is an urgent situation involving his personal pee-bush that requires a slightly brisker pace. And yes, if a cat or a bird happens to cross his path, he may experience a sudden burst of curiosity-fueled enthusiasm. But here's the important part — he just wants to look. No chasing, no chaos. Just pure, wholesome nosiness from a boy who finds the world endlessly fascinating. Speaking of curious — Bubba has claimed his very own ottoman by the window, and this is where you will find him conducting his daily observations of the neighborhood. People walking by, cats doing cat things, birds living their best lives — Bubba watches it all with quiet contentment and the focused energy of someone who takes community surveillance very seriously. It's his happy place and it is absolutely adorable. When he's not on duty at the window, Bubba's schedule is wonderfully simple. Naps. Snuggles. Belly rubs. And on a warm day? Finding the coolest patch of floor available and executing a full, committed, totally shameless sploosh — that beautiful flat-on-the-floor sprawl that only the most relaxed and unbothered dogs have truly mastered. Bubba has mastered it. He is an artist. On the subject of food, Bubba knows what he likes. Kibble — but only with water, thank you very much. That's just his preference and he stands by it completely. He also enjoys his fresh food additions and is, as expected, highly food motivated — making training sessions a true delight for everyone involved. For the working humans out there — Bubba is practically made for you. He is completely comfortable and content in his crate while his people are at work. No drama, no destruction, no guilt trip when you get home — just a happy boy ready to sploosh, snuggle, and hear about your day.     "He goes by Westminster officially, Bubba to those who love him, and Good Boy to absolutely everyone who meets him."   Westminster (Bubba!) is a great fit for: ✅ Working professionals who need a crate-comfortable companion ✅ People who love a calm, low-maintenance dog ✅ Families who enjoy leisurely walks and cozy evenings at home ✅ Anyone in need of a dedicated window-watching companion ✅ Belly rub enthusiasts — he will make it very worth your while ✅ Households with cats or birds (he just wants to look, we promise!)   Westminster — Bubba — is the good boy you didn't know you were looking for. Easy to love, easy to live with, and completely devoted to whoever is lucky enough to call him theirs. Come meet this wonderful boy today. The ottoman by the window has a great view, and he'd love the company.   Check out this adorable video of Westminster enjoying some outside time when he was at the shelter: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DQF5d6zyH/?mibextid=wwXIfr Adoption fee: $375, includes first 2 DAPP, bordetella, sterilized, heartworm test, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. The adoption policies and applications can be found at the following links: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat and https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-dog. See our calendar of adoption events at https://fancycats.org/(scroll towards bottom) You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Westminster, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
